Organizational Structures The ways in which informational text is put together.
Cause and Effect How something that happens effects something else.
Problem/Solution How an author identifies an issue and gives possible solutions.
Fact/Opinion How an author might use what they believe combined with provable data.
Compare and Contrast How one thing is similar to or different from something else.
Sequence Of Events How an author arranges the facts in order from time or importance.
Medium A method of communication.
Explicit The idea stated in the text.
Implicit The idea is understood but not stated.
Inference What you know with what you read to draw a conclusion
Objective Summary A brief restatement of the main points without using your opinion.
