Certificate Issued under a group Medicare supplement policy.
Applicant A person who seeks to contract for insurance benefits (in the case of an individual Medicare Supplement policy) The proposed certificate holder (in the case of a group Medicare Supplement policy)
Creditable Coverage Coverage provided under one of the following: Group Health Plan, Individual Health Insurance Coverage, Medicare or Medicaid, Federal Employee Health Benefits Program, Public Health Plan, etc.
Continuous Period of Creditable Coverage The period during which an individual was covered by creditable coverage without interruption for more than 63 days.
Medicare Advantage Plan A plan of coverage for health benefits under Medicare Part C.
Medicare Supplement Policy A supplement to reimbursements under Medicare for the hospital, medical, and surgical expenses of persons eligible for Medicare.
