Placate Making someone less angry or hostile.
Indigenous Originating or occurring naturally in a particular place; native.
Labyrinth A complicated irregular network of passages or paths in which it is difficult to find one's way; a maze.
Exacerbate Make (a problem, bad situation, or negative feeling) worse.
Incense A gum, spice, or other substance that is burned for the sweet smell it produces.
Daunt Make (someone) feel intimidated or apprehensive.
Rudimentary Involving or limited to basic principles.
Credulous Having or showing too great a readiness to believe things.
Lucid Expressed clearly; easy to understand.
Sacrosanct Regarded as too important or valuable to be interfered with.
Docile Ready to accept control or instruction; submissive.
Impartial Treating all rivals or disputants equally; fair and just.
Precedent An earlier event or action that is regarded as an example or guide to be considered in subsequent similar circumstances.
