Scaling shapes and Scaled Drawings unit

Scale Factor the amount the original dimension is multiplied by to get the new dimension
reduction to use a scale factor less than 1 to make a dimension or model smaller
enlargement to use a scale factor of more than 1 to make a dimension or model larger
original/actual/real possible names for the figure or dimension you start with before scaling
new/model/scaled/replica possible names for the figure or dimension you get after you've scaled
Similar Figure(s) Figures that have dimensions that are proportional (scaled) versions of each other
Scale The ratio of the length in a drawing (or model) to the length of the real thing
