archaeology the scientific study of ancient cultures through examanation of artifacts and other evidence
oral tradition a community's cultral and hhistorical background passed down spoken in stories and songs
anthropology the study of human kind in all aspects especially devolpement and culture
absolute location the absolute right on point location of one place
relative location a location of a placereltive to another place is another way to describe a location
movement how peopl,goods,and ideas get from one place to another
place refers to the mix of humans and nonhuman features at a given location
region an area with at least one unifying physical or human feature such as climate,landforms,population, or history
human-environmemt interaction how humans affect there environment or there natural surrondings and how the environment affects them
key explains shadings and symbols on the map
locator map shows a larger area than the main map
scale bar a space on the map that represents a given distance on the land
compass rose a diagram of a compass showing direction
