How to solve problems using direct, indirect, and joint variation

QuestionAnswer
Is y = 2x direct, inverse, or joint variation? Direct variation. y = kx
Is y = 10xz direct, inverse, or joint variation? Joint variation. y = kxz
Is y = 3/x direct, inverse, or joint variation? Inverse variation. y = k/x
Find the constant of variation k if y varies directly with x and y = 12 when x = 156 Constant of variation is 1/13
Find the direct variation equation if the constant of variation is 1/13 y = 1/13x
The amount of pollution varies directly with the population N of people. City A has a population of 620,000 and produces 360,000 tons of pollutants. How many tons of pollution should City B be expected to produce if it's population is 350,000? 203,226 tons or pollutants
Find the constant of variation if y varies inversely with x and y = 12 when x = 8 k = 96
Find the inverse variation equation if the constant of variation is 96 y = 96/x
