term A number, variable or the product of numbers and variables.
equation has an equal sign
inequality not equal
commutative property that changes order
associative property that changes grouping
identity property that doesn't change a number, variable, term, or expression
inverse property that is opposite (addition) or the reciprocal (multiplication)
natural numbers 1, 2, 3, ...
whole numbers 0, 1, 2, 3...
rational numbers any number that can be expressed as a fraction
irrational numbers any number that can NOT be expressed as a fraction
real numbers all rational and irrational numbers
