| Origin | The point where the x-axis and y-axis intersect on the coordinate plane; (0,0). |
| Constant of Proportionality | A constant ratio of two variables related proportionally. |
| Equation | A mathematical sentence that shows that two expressions are equivalent. |
| Rate of Change | A ratio that compares the amount of change in a dependent variable to the amount of change in an independent variable. |
| Proportion | An equation that states that two ratios are equivalent |
| Additive inverse | The opposite of a number. |
