Why was Pony concerned about who he called out for after waking up from being unconscious? Worried he didn't call for Darry. Doesn't want Darry to feel hurt or not loved by Pony since they just made up.
Explain what Johnny means when he tells Pony to "stay gold." He means Pony is good. He doesn't want him to become hard because of Johnny's death. Wants Pony to know he has accepted his fate and to make him proud, Pony needs to stay innocent and good.
