Zlata is able to start school again. Why is she so happy about that? Because she hasn't been able to in a long time, and she's just ready to start again
What does Zlata's mother's reaction to Cicko's death say about her character? That she really cared about Cicko and when it was alive it made things more joyful
What has Zlata decided about the war? That it's ruining hers & other kids, childhood
The neighborhood seems to take car of each other. Is this normaal, or is it due to the circumstances? I think it's normal because they all care and are in the same position
How are the "kids" planning on dividing the people of Sarajevo? By killing & destroying everything they can
What happened in the house that makes mommy scared and uncomfortable? There was a mouse
What is Nedo going to do? Lave Sarajevo
Does daddy think that Nedo will return to Sarajevo? Why or why not? No, because he doesn't believe that Nedo will come back
Why do you think Zlata doubts there will be positive results for negotiations among the 3 warring sides? Their fighting against each other & they don't like each other, the war is very bad
In what ways do you think the war is stealing Zlata's childhood? I think that she can't go to school, can't go outside without being with snipers, it's just not a normal life especially her and age
In what ways does Zlata lead ordinary life in the midst of extraordinary circumstances? She goes to school & plays with her friends, reads, writes, even though they are in war, do her life is kinda limited
