dystopia dystopia - State in which the conditions of life are extremely bad as from deprivation or oppression or terror. Opposite of a utopia.
acquisitive acquisitive - Eager to acquire and possess things especially material possessions or ideas.
disparate disparate - Fundamentally different or distinct in quality or kind. disparate - Including markedly dissimilar elements.
pastiche pastiche - Medley: a musical composition consisting of a series of songs or other musical pieces from various sources. pastiche - A work of art that imitates the style of some previous work.
banal banal - Predictable. Repeated too often; overfamiliar through overuse.
disparage disparage - Derogative: expressive of low opinion. disparage - Inequality in marriage; marriage with an inferior; To match unequally; to degrade or dishonor by an unequal marriage.
visceral visceral - Pertaining to the major internal organs. visceral - Intuitive: obtained through intuition rather than from reasoning or observation .
fastidiousness fastidiousness - The trait of being meticulous about matters of taste or style.
polity polity - Civil order: the form of government of a social organization. polity - A politically organized unit.
reclamation reclamation - Rescuing from error and returning to a rightful course. reclamation - The process of reclaiming something from loss or from a less useful condition.
expedient expedient - A means to an end; not necessarily a principled or ethical one. expedient - An easy or simple method; a shortcut.
