| Term | Definition |

| Anti-derivative | A function that has a given function as its derivative |
| Approximating sum | A Riemann sum used to approximate the value of a definite integral. |
| Concave Down | The appearance of a graph if the second derivative is negative on the interval |
| Concave Up | The appearance of a graph if the second derivative is positive on the interval |
| Constant Function | A function of the form y= k or f (x) = k where k is a constant |
| Continuous function | A function with a connected graph |
| Decreasing Function | A function with a graph that moves downward as it is followed from left toright. For example, any line with a negative slope is decreasing |
| Definite Integral | An integral which is evaluated over an interval. |
| Differential Equation | An equation showing a relationship between a function and itsderivative(s) |
