straight angle | 180 degrees or a line |

ray | part of a line that has one endpoint and goes in the other direction without stopping. It is written ray CD or CD |

line segment | part of line that has two endpoints It is written line segment ST or ST |

equilateral triangle | all 3 sides are equal |

isosceles triangle | two sides are equal |

scalene triangle | none of the sides are equal |

acute triangle | all 3 angles are acute |

obtuse triangle | one angle is obtuse |

right triangle | one angle is right |

quadrilateral | any four sided polygon |

trapezoid | quadrilateral that has exactly one pair of parallel sides |

parallelogram | a quadrilateral whose opposite sides are parallel and are the same length |

rhombus | opposite sides are parallel and all sides are the same length |

pentagon | five sides polygon |

hexagon | six sided polygon |

octagon | eight sided polygon |
