Explain skin analysis techniques. Why is skin analysis important? A through analysis is bennificial because it allows you to determine which products to use and recomend and it aids in the selection of which serivce to preform.
What is a contradiction? List five examples. A contridiction is a condition that requires avoiding certain treatments, procedures, or products to prevent undesirable side effects. These can include; Accutane, allergies, pregnancy, metal bone pins, or plates in the body, or pacemacker, etc.
Why is it important to have every client complete a health screening form? Health screening form is to determine whether the client has any contraindications that might prohibit certain skin treatments.
Describe the differences between alipidic and oily skin. Oily skin has obvious, large pores while as alipidic or dry skin has very small or not visiable pores.
What is the difference between skin type, and skin condtition? Skin type is heraditary and cannot be permanently changed wit h treatments. Skin conditions are characteristics assosiated with a particular skin type.
Name and explain the diffferent catagories of skin care product. Cleansers clean the surface of the skin,toners remove cleansers. Exfollients remove excess of dead skin cells from the skin surface. Moisturizsers increase the moisture content of the skin surface. Masks are concintrated treatmant products.
What are the steps to completing a client consultaition? Ask questions to make sure they dont have contridictions,
Why is massage used during a facial? Relax client, Improve metabolism;Stimulate circulation;Help muscle tone; Cleans skin of ;Reduce puffiness/sinus congestion;Helps product absoprtion;Relieves muscle tension & pain;Sense of physiological and psychological well-being
Name and describe five catagories of massage manipulations. efflerage, petrisage, tapotment, friction,vibration.
Name and describe two types of electrical machines used in facial treatments and hwy these machines add value to a facial.
Who is not a good canidate for electrical treatment and why? People who are pregnant, have metal bone pins, plates, heart condtitions or pace makers, etc. because they are general safety precautions to not trigger any sort of reaction or sideaffect.
How can aromatherapy be used in the basic facial? It can use assist in enhancing a person's physical & emotional well-being
