| co- | Meaning: with, together, as Examples: copilot, coadjutor, cooperate, coworker Context Clue: We had to cooperate if we wanted to be on the same team. |
| de- | Meaning: off, away from, down Examples: deactivate, depart, deform, deport Context Clue: I had to deactivate the bomb so it wouldn't explode. |
| e- | Meaning: out Examples: erase, erode, erupt, escape Context Clue: The boy had to escape, when he found his way out he quickly moved. |
| auto | Meaning: self Examples: automatic, autofocus, automatically, autograph Context Clue: I put in my order, the chef automatically cooked the food, and as fast as he started, he cooked the dish in seconds. |
| deca | Meaning: ten Examples: decade, decagram, decameter, decillion Context Clue: Every decade something changes, and each year in a decade you change. |

| -ic, -ical | Meaning: pertaining to, having to do with Examples: mythical, musical, numerical, pathetic Context Clue: The mythical beast was magical every way. As he or she sneered and prances with hits horn. |
| -ist | Meaning: one who practices Examples: violinist, pianist, guitarist, florist Context Clue: The pianist played her melody on stage, softer practicing for years it was time for her big debut. |
| -ite | Meaning: forming adjective or noun Examples: finite, sprite, elite, excite Context Clue: The crowd was very excite about the news, as they cheered and jeered all around like fools. |
