Angels and Transversals

Supplementary | Two angles that equal 180 degrees |
Complementary | Two angles that equal 90 degrees |
Adjacent | Two angles that are next to each other |
Acute Angle | An angle that is less than 90 degrees |
Obtuse Angel | An angle that is more than 90 degrees but less than 180 degrees |
Straight Angle | An angle that equals 180 degrees |
Interior Angles | The angles that are inside the of the parallel lines |
Exterior Angels | The angles that are outside the of the parallel lines |
Corresponding Angles | The angles that are in the same position on the two lines in relation to the transversal. |
Transversal | A line that intersects two or more lines |
Alternate Interior Angles | Angles that lie on the opposite sides of the transversal that are on the interior. |
Alternate Exterior Angles | Angles that lie on the opposite sides of the transversal that are on the exterior. |
Parallel Lines | Lines that lay on the same plane but never intersect |
Perpendicular | Lines that lay on the same plane that intersect and make a right angel |
