kilometer (n) a metric unit of length equal to 1,000 meters
millimeter (n) unit of length to one thousandth of a meter (0.001 meter)
odometer (n) a device built into the dashboard of a vehicle that records the distance traveled
pedometer (n) an instrument for measuring the distance walked
perimeter (n) a measurement that calculates the distance around the outside of a closed pane figure
