electronic of, relating to, or utilizing devices constructed or working by the methods or principles of electronics
edit to make changes in a document or presentation
enter/return the key used to begin a new line in a word processor, or to enter information into a spreadsheet; it is the same as clicking OK in a dialog box
ethical involving questions of right and wrong behavior, following accepted rules of behavior: morally right and good
evaluate to determine the significance, worth, or condition of usually by careful appraisal and study
file a collection of data stored in a form the computer can read; There are two kinds of files: program files and data files
folder an item used to organize files into groups
font a complete set of letters, numbers, punctuation, and other symbols of the same shape and style of text (typeface)
gross words per minute a measure of typing input or output speed not factoring in accuracy; GWPM
highlight (select) to select, usually by clicking or dragging with the mouse
home keys keys on a keyboard which contain the letters a, s, d, f, j, k, l, and the semi-colon (;) and used for positioning the hands in typing
image a visual representation of something like a likeness of an object produced on a photographic material or a picture produced on an electronic display
indent to set the first line of a paragraph in from the margin in a word processing document
intellectual property the property (as an idea, invention, or process) that derives from the work of the mind or intellect
internet term given to the network of computers that provide information world-wide
icon a graphical symbol used to represent a file, folder, or disk
import to load a file created by another program
keyboard a set of input keys on computers, which include the standard typewriter keys and several specialized keys
keyboarding enter (data) by means of a keyboard
kilobyte a unit of measurement equivalent to 1024 bytes
keyword a word or reference point used to describe content on a web page that search engines use to properly index the page
landscape the page setup that permits a document to be printed in a horizontal position
line spacing the span between lines of text
media the main means of mass communication (esp. television, radio, newspapers, and the Internet) regarded collectively
monitor a display screen used to present output from a computer, camera, VCR, or other video generator
