In natural-hairstyling services, texture refers to all but the length of the hair. Framing the face is recommended for a client with a square face.
The elongated face is a too long oval and requires a style with more width at the sides. Boar bristle brush is recommended for scalp stimulation and removal of dirt and lint from locks.
A characteristic of Kanekalon is it closely mimics human hair. When curly hair is braided wet, it shrinks as it dries.
A visible braid is created using a three-strand underhand braid technique where strands are woven under the center strand. Single braids can move in any direction.
Extensions for single braids are integrated into natural hair using the three strand underhand technique. The block roll is NOT a basic method of locking.
In some African tribes, different styles of braiding indicated a person's social status. The material from which the comb is made is the most important feature of the wide toothed comb.
Most human hair used for hair extensions is imported from Asia. Blowdrying does NOT tighten and shrink the wave pattern.
The fishtail braid is best done on long, non layered hair. It takes a tree braiding service 4 hours.

A cutting comb is a tool used for cutting small sections, and should only be used after the hair is softened and elongated with a blowdryer. A pick with rounded teeth is recommended for lifting and seperating textured hair.
A single braid is a free hanging braid with or without an extension that can be executed using either an underhand or an overhand technique. A square paddle brush is the type of brush that is recommended for releasing tangles, knots, and snarls in short, textured hair and long, straight hair.
The benefit of mixing yak hair with human hair is it helps remove the manufactured shine. An invisible braid does NOT refer to a three strand braid produced with an overhand technique.
The feed-in method involves applying extensions to cornrows by building the braid up strand by strand.
