what does the sum mean? answer to addition.
What does difference mean? answer to subtraction.
What does product mean? to multiply.
What does quotient mean? to divid.
What are factors? Numbers you multiply together.
What is the dividend? a number that is divided by another number.
What is the divisor? a number by which another number is divided.
What is a power? base number being used as a factor.
What is an exponent? how many times the base is used as a factor.
What is a base? the exponent power.
What are parentheses? grouping symbols.
What is a variable? letter(or symbol) that holds tha place for a value.
What is the mean? sum of data values then divid the data values.
What is the GCF? greatest common factor
How do you find the factor? see what the numbers have in common.
What is simplest form? can't keeep dividing by common factors.
What is LCM? least common multiple.
What are cross prudcts? short cut to compare fractions.
What is the improper fraction? numerator is larger then denom.
What is a mixed number? a whole number and proper fraction.
