QuestionAnswer
base The number that is going to be raised to a power.
exponent The number says how many times to use that number in a multiplication.
powers The power of a number says how many times to use the number in a multiplication.
perfect square A number made by squaring a whole number.
Algebra the part of mathematics in which letters and other general symbols are used to represent numbers and quantities in formulate and equations.
variable A symbol for a number we don't know yet. It is usually a letter like x or y.
evaluate To calculate the value of.
algebraic expression a mathematical phrase that can contain ordinary numbers, variables (like x or y) and operators (like add,subtract,multiply, and divide).
