Commutative Property of Multiplication Multiplying the numbers in any order = same product
Associative Property of Addition When adding numbers it is possible to regroup them within parenthesis and get the same sum.
Associative Property of Multiplication (88 x 42) x 65 = 88 x (42 x 65)
Multiplicative Identity b(1) = b
Additive Identity y + 0 = y
Zero Property 953 x 0 = 0
Distributive Property a(b + c) = ab = ac
Multiplicative Inverse 1/4 x 4 = 1
Additive Inverse -17 + 17 = 0
Adding opposite numbers = zero Additive Identity
Multiplying any number by its reciprocal = ONE Multiplicative Inverse
What is the Multiplicative Identity element? One
What is the Additive Identity element? Zero
Identify the property: changing the order of the numbers when adding or multiplying. Commutative Property
Identify the property: regrouping the numbers when adding or multiplying. Associative Property
Multiplying any number by zero = zero Zero Property
Multiplying any number by one = itself Multiplicative Identity
Multiplying a single term and two or more terms inside a set of parentheses. Distributive Property
