Order of Operations

QuestionAnswer
Using order of operations, what is the first step? Solve within the grouping symbols such as: parenthesis, brackets, fraction bars. Always follow order of operations.
How do you solve a problem with a fraction bar? Following order of operations solve the numerator, then the denominator, then simplify ( which may be reducing or dividing).
What does the E stand for in GEMDAS? Exponents
After solving within grouping symbols and exponents what is the next step of order of operations? Solve from left to right and for better or worse solve which ever comes first multiplication or division.
After grouping symbols, exponents and all multiplication and division have been solves what is the next step in order of operations? Solve from left to right and for better or worse solve which ever comes first addition or subtraction..
True or false: Subtraction is always the last step in every math problem? False
What math operation does a fraction bar represent? Division
How do you divide a fraction? The denominator goes into the numerator.
