Vocab Words

TermDefinition
Monomial The product of numbers and variables is a monomial. A monomial maybe a term in a longer algebraic expression.
Polynomial Having a sum of monomials. Expression with 3 or more terms.
Term A number, variable, product, or quotient in an expression. A term is not a sum or a difference.
Coefficient A number multiplied with a variable or unknown quantity in an algebraic term.
Binomial The sum of two terms.
Trinomial Expression with three terms(usually called polynomial).
Constant A number on its own, or sometimes a letter such as x to stand for a fixed number.
