| Transitive Property of Equality | A=B and B=C then A=C |
| Symmetric Property of Equality | If A=B then B=A |
| Reflexive Property of Equality | For all real numbers a, A=A |
| Addition Property of Equality/ Inequality | If X=Y then X+Z=Y+Z |
| Substitution Property of Equality | If A=B then A can be substituted for B in any inequality or equality |
| Commutative | The order of adding does not change the sum |
| Associative | Grouping numbers differently does not change the sum or product |
| Identity | Adding 0 or multiplying 1 does not change the value |
| Additive inverse | The sum of opposites is 0 |
| Multiplicative inverse | the product of a number and it's reciprocal is 1 |
| The Zer0 Property | Anything multiplied by 0 is 0 |
| Distributive Property | A(B+C)= A x B + A x C |
