Dependent Variable the variable that represents output values of a function
Relation pairs inputs with outputs; A relation that pairs each input with exactly one output is a function
Vertical Line Test (VLT) a graph represents a function when no vertical line passes through more than one point on the graph
Discrete Domain a set of input values that consists of only CERTAIN numbers in an interval
Continuous Domain a set of input values that consists of ALL numbers in an interval
Linear Function a function whose graph is a non vertical line; can be written in y=mx+b
Function Notation a way to name a function using f(x) instead of y; read as "f of x"
