Ray diagram for a convex lens(steps, 1-5)

QuestionAnswer
1 draw line (optical axis) through center of lens&label focal point that is on the opposite side of the lens as the object
2 draw ray parallel to optical axis from top of object to lens&then have it refract through focal point on right side of lens
3 draw 2nd ray from top of object passing through centre of lens, ray won't bend as it passes through lens
4 if rays converge on the right side of lens, where they cross will indicate the top of inverted image
5 if rays diverge on the right side of lens (happens when object is less than 1 focal length from lens), extend them back with dotted lines&where they cross will be top of image
