Bearing | Direction measured using angles |

Plan | Drawing of something viewed from above |
Elevation | Drawing of something viewed from the side |
Construction | Drawing a shape, line or angle accurately |
Grid reference | Location on a map using coordinates |
North | Compass direction drawn straight up the page |
South | Opposite direction from north |
Three figure | Number with three digits |
Bracket | Symbol used to group things together |
Indices | Say how many times to use the number in a multiplication |
Square root | Value that, when multiplied by itself, gives the number |
To the power of | How many times to use the number in a multiplication |
Cube number | Answer when you multiply a number by itself three times |
Cube root | Value that, when used in a multiplication three times, gives that number |
Notation | Symbols used to represent special things |
Billion | 1 000 000 000 |
Ascending | Smallest to largest |
Descending | Largest to smallest |
Distribution | Group of numbers linked by the same subject |
