| Plan | Drawing of something viewed from above |
| Elevation | Drawing of something viewed from the side |
| Construction | Drawing a shape, line or angle accurately |
| Grid reference | Location on a map using coordinates |
| North | Compass direction drawn straight up the page |
| South | Opposite direction from north |
| Three figure | Number with three digits |
| Bracket | Symbol used to group things together |
| Indices | Say how many times to use the number in a multiplication |
| Square root | Value that, when multiplied by itself, gives the number |
| To the power of | How many times to use the number in a multiplication |
| Cube number | Answer when you multiply a number by itself three times |
| Cube root | Value that, when used in a multiplication three times, gives that number |
| Notation | Symbols used to represent special things |
| Billion | 1 000 000 000 |
| Ascending | Smallest to largest |
| Descending | Largest to smallest |
| Distribution | Group of numbers linked by the same subject |
