Denominator The bottom number in a fraction which tells the number of pieces making up a whole
Improper Fraction A fraction greater than one whole that is not written as a mixed number
Mixed Number A number with a whole number and a fraction part
Equivalent Having the same value
Simplify To reduce a fraction to lowest terms
Greatest Common Factor The greatest number that is a factor of each of two or more numbers, also referred to as the GCF
Least Common Denominator The least number, other than zero, that is a multiple of two or more numbers or fractions, also referred to as the LCM or LCD
Unlike Terms Two or more fractions that have different denominators
