| Complacent | Satisfied with how things are and not wanting to change them. |
| Defamatory | Damaging the good reputation of someone. |
| Expunge | To remove completely. |
| Ironic | Using words that man the opposite of what you really think. Strange or funny b/c it is different from what is expected. |
| Lampoon | A piece of writing, a cartoon, etc. that publicly mocks or makes fun of a well-known person or thing. |
| Lithe | Moving in an easy and graceful way. |
| Replete | Having much or plenty of something. |
| Repose | To lay to rest. |
| Rescind | To end officially. To make something no longer valid. |
| Surmount | To deal with a difficulty successfully. |
