Admonish To speak to someone in a way that expresses disapproval or criticism. To warn or reprimand.
Complacent Satisfied with how things are and not wanting to change them.
Defamatory Damaging the good reputation of someone.
Expunge To remove completely.
Ironic Using words that man the opposite of what you really think. Strange or funny b/c it is different from what is expected.
Lampoon A piece of writing, a cartoon, etc. that publicly mocks or makes fun of a well-known person or thing.
Lithe Moving in an easy and graceful way.
Replete Having much or plenty of something.
Repose To lay to rest.
Rescind To end officially. To make something no longer valid.
Surmount To deal with a difficulty successfully.
Vicariously Experienced or felt by watching, hearing about, or reading about someone else rather than doing it yourself.
Vindicate To show that someone should not be blamed for a crime.
Wan Looking sick or pale. Having a weak quality.
Yen A strong desire or prosperity.
