Air/Electrical Lines Properly Coupled, Not cracked, Worn, Pinched or rubbing

Coupling System Fifth Wheel Type Mounting Bolts None Loose or Missing
Platform Not Cracked or Bent
Filth Wheel Skid Plate No Loose or Missing Mounting Hardware Properly Greased, Not cracked or Bent
Realse Arm Engaged or Locked position
King Pin Not Cracked or Bent filth wheel jaws locked fully around the king pin shank
Apron Not cracked or Bent no gap between the apron and the 5th wheel

Lug Nuts None missing, not loose: Rust may indicate a loose lug nut
Hub Axle Seal Proper Oil level in sight glass, Not Leaking
Slack Adjuster Angle Between slack adjuster and pushrod not less than 90 degrees with brakes applied and not more than 1 inch of travel with brakes released. No Loose or missing mounting hardware.
Brake Chambers No Loose or missing mounting hardware not dented or cracked
Hoses Not cracked, Worn or rubbing Fittings are Tight
Drum and Lining Drums not cracked or Bent, Lining 1/4 inch Minimum thickness, no oil and grease
Torque, and Radius Arm No Loose or missing mounting hardware, not cracked or Bent, Bushings not worn
Doors and Ties Doors shut, and Latched, Tie downs are tight
Mud Flaps No Loose or missing mounting Hardware, Not cut or Torn, No More than 10 Inch Above the ground
