| Argument | a brief summary, often in prose, of a poem or section of a poem or other work |
| Persuasion | the action or fact of persuading someone or of being persuaded to do or believe something |
| Claim | a state that something is the case, typically without providing evidence or proof |
| Evidence | the available body of facts or information indicating whether a belief or proposition is true or valid |
| Support | to enable to function or act |
| Citation | a quotation from or reference to a book, paper, or author, especially in a scholarly work |
| Annotation | a note of explanation or comment added to a text or diagram |
| Transition | the process or a period of changing from one state or condition to another |
| Diction | the choice and use of words and phrases in speech or writing |
| Syntax | the arrangement of words or phrases to create well- formed sentences in a language |
| Structure | the arrangement of and relations between the parts or elements of something complex |
| Organization | an organized body of people with a particular purpose, especially a business, society, association |
| Closure | a sense of resolution or conclusion at the end of an artistic work, or ordeal |
