| Accuracy | The quality or state of being correct or precise. |
| Calibration | The action or process of calibrating an instrument or experimental readings. |
| Graduated Cylinder | A piece of laboratory equipment used to measure the volume of a liquid. |
| International System of Measurement (SI) | Modern form of the metric system, most used system of measurement. |
| Liquid | One of the four fundamental states of matter. (only state with a definite volume but no fixed shape). |
| Mass | A property of a physical body which determines the body's resistance to being accelerated by a force and the strength of its mutual attraction with other bodies. |
| Matter | Everything around you. (Atoms and molecules). |
| Meniscus | Curve in the upper surface of a liquid. |
| Newton-a unit of measurement | International system of units (named after Isaac Newton). |
| Precision | (Accuracy)When a given set of measurements of the same sample agree with their mean. |
| Triple Beam Balance | An instrument used to measure mass. |
| Unit | A form of measurement used to define physical quantity. |
| Volume | The quantity of three dimensional space enclosed by some closed boundary. |
| Weight | The amount of heaviness or mass a thing weighs (force exerts on object). |
