Liturgy The public prayer of the Church that celebrates the great things God has done for us in Jesus Christ, our high priest, and the way in which he continues the work of our salvation. Original meaning liturgy - “a public work or service done for the people.”
Liturgy of the Hours The public prayer of the Church to praise God and to sanctify the day. It includes readings pre-sunrise, morning prayer at dawn, evening prayer at sunset, and prayer pre-bed. The chanting of psalms makes up the major portion of each of these services.
Prayer The raising of our hearts and minds to God. We are able to speak to and listen to God in prayer because he teaches us how to pray.
