simple machines

pulley,lever,wedge

QuestionAnswer
what is a pulley? A machine that uses grooved wheels and ropes to raise and lower the load.
what is a lever? A board that moves up and down.
what is a wedge? A surface that ends in a sharp edge.
what is a gear? A toothed wheel that work together to make things work.
what is a screw? An inclined plane wrapped around a metel rod which holds things together.
what is an inclined plane? A slanting surface connocting a higher level to a lower one.
what is a wheel and axel? At least two wheels connecting by a rod.
