Potential Energy
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| Electrical Potential Energy | a measure of the work required by an electric field to make electric charges OR the voltage per unit of charge |
| Gravitational Potential Energy | energy and object possess because of it's position in a gravitational field |
| Magnetic Potential Energy | the form of energy related not only to the distance between magnetic materials, but also to the orientation, or alignment, of those materials within the field. |
| Conductor | Object of type of material that permits the flow of electricity |
| Current | The rate at witch charge flows past a certain point in a circuit |
| Relative Positions | The position of two or more objects with respect to one another. |
| Energy | Controls the amount of change that can occur within a system; without enough energy, change cannot occur. |
| System | A group of interacting or interdependent elements forming a complex whole, as in all the factors or variables in an environment, or all the variables that might affect a science experiment. |
| Potential Energy (PE) | Energy stored in systems or objects - electrical, gravitational, magnetic, and nuclear are all examples of potential energy) |
