Plot Series of events in a story. It answers the question "what?"
Parts of the Plot Exposition- beginning; introduction setting, etc Rising Action: Events that lead up to climax; creates suspense Climax- Most exciting/turning part; about to find solution Falling Action- Events leading to resolution Resolution-End; conflict resolved
Conflict A problem/struggle that plot revolves around.
2 Types of Conflict -Internal -External
Internal Conflict Struggle inside characters mind/heart
External Conflict Struggle with outside force
Setting Time (when) Place (where)
Suspense Feeling of uncertainty about what will happen (Building up excitement)
Foreshadowing Hints/clue for later in story
