Landmarks A set of data used to describe the data
Minimum The smallest value in a data set
Maximum The largest value in a set of data
Range The difference between the maximum and minimum
Mode The value(s) that occurs most often
Median The middle value in a set of data when the data is listed from smallest to largest
Data landmarks A notable feature of a data set. Landmarks include mean, median, mode, minimum, maximum, and range
Median "Even Rule" Finding the middle value by crossing out the numbers and then adding the 2 middle numbers together and finding the mean
Median "Odd Rule" Finding the middle value by crossing out all of the numbers and having only one number left
