Chemical Reaction a process that produces a chemical change
Reactant substances that exist before a reaction begins
Product substances that form as a result of chemical reactioin
Chemical equation a shorthand form that shows scientist at a glance the reactants, products, physical state, and the proportions of each substance
Endothermic Reaction reactions that absorb heat
Activation energy the amount of energy needed to start a reaction
Rate of reaction how fast a reaction occurs
Catalyst a substance that speeds up a chemical reaction
Concentratioin the amount of substance present in a certain volume
Enzyme catalyst that are large protein molecules that speed up or slow down reaction needed for cells to work properly
Inhibitor a substance that slows down a chemical reaction
Law of conservation of Mass mass is neither created or destroyed
Exothermic reaction reaction that releases heat
