This system is a simple symtem. If no requisition is made, no supplies issued. No complicated setup or equipment is involved but labor intensive. Demand Distribution

How is a specialty/procedure cart used to distrubute supplies? Like a case cart system the carts are stored where they are readily accessible and can be immediately dispensed to the areas where they are needed.
What system is also known as the Stockless Distribution system? JIT Just-In-Time Distribution Systems

Describe the ABC System: A: Items that have a large dollar value but are not used frequently. B: Items that are moderately priced and are used relatively frequently. C: Items that have a low dollar value.

Define a Reorder Points (ROP's): The reorder point is lowest quanity of an item that can be on hand before it is reordered. This quanity represents sufficient stock to last until the receipt of replacement stock, plus a safety margin to prevent stock-outs. The ROP is based on historical
Define Minimums and Maximums: Like and ROP the minimum is the smallest amount of stock on the shelf before an order is placed for replenshment. The maximum is the largest amount of an item that should be in stock at any one time.
Define Economical Order Quanity (EOQ): The EOQ is the optimum quanity of an item to order. Based on historical data, the EOQ helps prevent overordering.
