TermDefinition
Ostinato Short, repeated idea.
Polyphonic Varying rhythmic movement in all voices.
Homorhythmic Same rhythmic movement in all voices.
Chord Three or more notes that form a harmonic unit.
Harmony Two or more notes at the same time.
Minor Tonality based on La.
Major Tonality based on Do.
Conjunct Motion that is adjacent. Always line to space or space to line.
Disjunct Motion that involves a skip. Notes are not adjacent. Could be line to line, space to space, space to line or line to space.
Penultimate Second to last.
Key Signature Arrangement of sharps, flats, or lack thereof that indicate tonal center.
Treble Clef G Clef.
Bass Clef F Clef.
