Algebraic Expressions | consisting of one or more numbers and variables along with one or more arithmetic operations |
Substitute | To replace a variable for a specific value. |

Coefficient | The numerical factor of a term. |
Variable | A letter or other symbol used to represent an unspecified number or value. |
Constant | A term that does not contain a variable. |
Exponents | A number that indicates how many times a number or expression is to be multiplied by itself. |
Base | The number that is going to be raised to a power. |
Commutative Property | Changing the order of the numbers does not change the answer. |
Associative Property | The order of numbers does not change but the grouping changes. |
