Long hair should be tied up when using a sewing machine. Why? Long hair can get caught up in the machine when you are sewing if it is loose.
If you wear glasses for reading, you should use them for sewing. Why? You need to be able to see clearly what you are doing when you are using the sewing machine.
Why should you concentrate on what you are doing when you use a sewing machine and not talk to/look at your friends? If you lose concentration then you can get hurt using the sewing machine.
Why is it important to have the sewing machine directly in front of you and not too far away from you. So that you can see properly what you are doing.
