Vocabularies of Decribing Motion

TermDefinition
Reference Point The starting point you choose to describe location or position of an object.
Position an object's distance and direction from a reference point.
Motion The process of changing position related to a reference point.
Speed A measure of the distance an object travels per unit of time.
Distance The length of the path/route taken.
Displacement The distance from starting point to final point.
Velocity The speed and the direction of a moving object.
