| archetype | a very typical example of a certain person or thing. |
| symbol | a thing that represents or stands for something else, especially a material object representing something abstract |
| rising action | In the rising action, a series of related incidents build toward the point of greatest interest. |
| precis | a summary or abstract of a text or speech. |
| characterization | Characterization is the process by which the writer reveals the personality of a character. |
| climax | the most intense, exciting, or important point of something; a culmination or apex. |
| protagonist | the leading character or one of the major characters in a drama, movie, novel, or other fictional text. |
| plot | is a literary term used to describe the events that make up a story or the main part of a story. |
| falling action | Falling action is defined as the parts of a story after the climax and before the very end. |
