Frequency Distributions

QuestionAnswer
Dot plot A graphical display of data using dots
Histograms A graphical display where data is grouped into ranges and then plotted as bars
Stem-and-leaf plot A plot were each data value is split into it's separate digits a "leaf" (the last digit) and a "stem" (the other digits)
Frequency table A table that show the total for each category or group of data
Outliers A value that lies outside (smaller or larger than) most of the other values in a set of data
Boundary Highest and lowest values
