Geometry 1

Points Lines and Planes

point It is an exact location in space. It is named by a capital letter; it has no thickness and 0 dimension.
line An infinite set of points that goes on forever. It is named by two capital letters or a lower-case cursive letter.
plane A flat surface that goes on forever in two directions. Contains an infinite set of points and lines. It is named by any three points or by an upper-case cursive letter.
collinear Points that lie on the same line.
coplanar Points that lie on the same plane.
line segment Part of a line consisting of two end points and all the points between them.
congruent Segments that have the same length.
midpoint Point halfway between the endpoints of a segment.
ray Starts at one point and extends infinitely in one direction.
