| Prepositions | such as at, for, to and with come before nouns or pronouns to link them to another word in the sentence. |
| Interjections | are words or phrases used to exclaim or protest or command. |
| Articles | Come before a noun to show whether it's definite (the pistachio), or indefinite (a bookshelf) |
