IGCSE velocity and acceleration

Units of velocity are Metres per second, m/s
Units of acceleration are Metres per second squared
The difference between speed and velocity is Velocity has a direction.
Average speed equals Distance travelled divided by time taken
Acceleration equals Change in velocity divided by time taken
Gradient of distance time graph is Velocity
Gradient of velocity time graph is Acceleration
Area under velocity time graph is Distance travelled
The Moon travels at constant speed but it is accelerating because Its direction changes
If it takes 4 seconds to accelerate from 12 m/s to 20 m/s the acceleration is 2 metres per second squared
