| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| Projectile | An object that is launched or thrown that passes through both the X and Y-Axis. |
| Trajectory | The path a projectile takes through the X and Y-Axis |
| Resultant Vector | The sum of two or more vectors acting on a single object. |
| Resultant Velocity | The sum of two or more velocities acting on a single object. |
| Trigonometric Functions | sinӨ= opp/hyp cosӨ= adj/hyp tanӨ= opp/adj SohCahToa Functions used to find angles or sides of a triangle. |
| Theta | Ө a symbol that represents an angle, known or unknown. |
| Inclined Plan | A surface that is at an angle. Also, a form of a simple machine. Fg = mgsinӨ on an inclined plane. |
| Forces at an Angle | Any force applied to an object that is not parallel to the X or Y-axis of an object. |
| Torque | A force applied generally using a lever and at an angle to the surface of the object. Symbol - T Equation T=rFsinӨ Unit - N*m (NOT EQUAL TO A JOULE!!!!) r= distance from the pivot point Ө= angle the force is applied at F= Force applied |
